中国诗词英译的几点看法

汉语句子是主题句，只要把事情本身说清楚，那么不一定要主谓宾各个句子成分齐全。

反过来说，汉语句子没有主语，甚至没有谓语或宾语，也能把事情说清楚。

尤其在古诗写作中，要求文字高度浓缩，在有限的字数中表达广阔的意境，抒发深厚的感情。

汉语句，重在语义主题，而不着重句法结构上的主体；施动而无施事者的现象，普遍存在。

英语语法结构较为严谨，主语不可缺，所以称之为主语句。

古诗英译中增添主语是普遍现象，有时虽非结构主语，但至少补译出语义上的某个行为者。

一般情况下，诗人抒发感情，主语“我”通常隐含不露，也不必明说。

如：孟浩然的《春晓》，妇需皆熟知，通俗易上口，四行诗，无一主语：春眠不觉晓，处处闻啼鸟。

夜来风雨声，花落知多少？谁“不觉”？谁“闻”？谁“知”？不说也知道是诗人本身。
