Water Pollution（水污染）
With the development of industry, water pollution is becoming more serious now. The polluted water not only kills fish, it is also harmful to our health. Many people get sick because they drink the polluted water. In some rivers the water is so dirty that they can even kill plants.
We should fight against the pollution. We should stop using harmful things. I wish it is not a dream that in the near future we can have clean rivers again.
Evironnment Protection（环境污染）
Nowadays, people's life has changed a lot with the development of modern technology and economy, which has put lots of negative effects on the environment.
Why this? Because, firstly, some factories are pouring wastes into rivers, lakes, seas and so forth; secondly, because of human activities, a great number of plants and animals are losing their lives; thirdly, using modern machines and chemicals is bad for the environment. Besides these, there are a lot of human activities which have done or are doing harm to our surroundings.
For this, I think, first, our government should make drastic measures to regulate human activities; second, we human beings should take pains-taking work to stop ourselves destroying the environment and try our best to protect our living space more.
Forest Pretention（森林保护）
our country has a large area of forest. however, not until recently did the government begin to realize the importance of protecting the forest. as we may know from various sources, the government recently adopted a policy called "restore the farmland to the forest"(退耕还林）。this has brought much hope to the forest of our country as well as the sustainable development of our country.
Pollution: a Social Problem（污染：一个社会问题）
When we read newspapers, we often come across the word pollution. This word was not familiar to the people some decades ago. But now, it is a serious threat to us because. it means the poisoning of the air, seas, rivers and lands, which would do harm to our health.
There are many factories that bring pollution to us. We can not have fresh air in the morning. This is mainly because of the poisonous smoke coming from factories, especially chemical ones. In rivers, seas and oceans, there are industrial wastes. Some factories just throw their wastes into seas or let them flow into rivers. When people drink the water from such rivers, they get poisoned. Besides, there is rubbish from ships and when sometimes an accident occurs in an ocean, oil flows out from tankers.
On land, the accumulation of rubbish in the streets may dirty the city and ruin our health. This is mainly due to the improper disposal of rubbish by people.
If we do mot fight against pollution, surely one day all of us will be killed. Some people like to put the blame on the industrial revolutions. On the contrary, the pollution problem will be solved only with the help of modem science and technology.

My name is Beth. I’m 14 years old, and I study in No. 1 Middle School of Hui’an. My school is very big and beautiful. I’m very happy in the school.
I usually get up at 6:15 in the morning. Then I do morning exercises in the playground. At 6:40, I have my breakfast. You can see many students and teachers in the dinning room. After breakfast, I often read English with my classmates.
We have six classes every day. The first class begins at 7:50 am. I like all the classes, because my teachers can make the classes lively and interesting. My favorite subject is English, so I join English Corner every week. I can speak English with many other students there. It’s very interesting and exciting. I think it’s helpful for me to learn English well. After class, I always play games with my friends. We play basketball, soccer ball, volleyball, ping-pong and so on. They are very relaxing.
I like my lessons, my friends and my teachers. In a word, I love my school. I find my school life is more and more meaningful and colorful. My school life is wonderful, isn’t it?

This was the first Asian to win 110m hurdles at the Olympic Games. When Liu Xiang faced the other strong runners, the only mind in his heart was “I believe I can.” He ran like a flying horse. There was a joyful atmosphere everywhere in when we knew he won. We cried for his success. We can imagine how hard he worked to prepare for the race.

Recently, three owls appeared suddenly on our campus. They made me think of my pet from childhood. When I was little, we had an owl at home. It was small, gray, and had two big eyes. It would blink its eyes just like it understood what we were saying. It was like my best friend. But when the weather became colder, we forgot to keep it warm, and it died. My Happiest Day
Today is Friday. It is my thirteenth birthday. I got up very early in the morning and put on my new clothes happily. My parents bought me the new clothes as my birthday presents. I went to school earlier than before. I invited many of my classmates to come to my birthday party in the evening.
Evening came at last. Many of my classmates came to my home. They bought me lots of beautiful presents. they all said,” Happy birthday to you!" We sang birthday songs happily. then my parents brought out a big birthday cake, saying, "We love you for ever. “Happy birthday!"
At the end of the party, we ate the birthday cake and some other delicious food. How happy I was!
A happy holiday
Last Saturday, my family had a good time.
My parents and I took the bus to our hometown to visit my grandparents and my uncle. I went to my hometown when I was 6,so I did not remember anything there. At noon, we got there. You can't imagine what great changes there were! The village was so beautiful that I couldn't help stop walking to enjoy it. After lunch, we visited the folkway museum of hometown. My father was interested in those old things. And at evening, we went to see a movie which was shown in the village.

What do you eat every day? A few people think about it. And less people will make plans for their meals. What should a healthy person eat every day? well, I will introduce my "Healthy eating habit" It comes from doctors, and it is believable. A lesson I never forget. I remember that morning ,my teacher told us that this lesson was very difficult for us to learn, and told us to go over it carefully. But didn’t think it is important, So I didn’t go over it. I played the computer games instead. Next day we had an exam, I failed it. I learnt that student must study harder. No pains no gains!
Life in the future
As time goes by, there are going to be big changes in our everyday life. For example, when we are hungry, we don't need to cook in a hurry. Just take some pills, and everything will be OK. A Visit to Golden Hill
Yesterday my friends and I went to Golden Hill, the biggest park in our hometown. When we entered the park, we were surprised to see so many flowers. They all fully bloomed. We walked along the riverside, enjoying the charming view. Fishes in the water were swimming freely.
The most interesting thing was to climb the Golden Hill. It was not too high, but it was difficult to climb. We mounted it after twenty minutes. We looked at the city from the top of the hill. What a beautiful city it was! There stood countless tall buildings. Many cars were running along wide streets. The was pouring to the east. White clouds were just above our heads. We really had a good time that day.
A Trip to the Great Wall
Three days ago we decided to visit the Great Wall.
Today we met at the bus stop early in the morning. When we were on the bus, we saw a lot of new buildings and new shops. was taller than before, I thought.
It took us about two hours to get to the Great Wall. When the Great Wall appeared in front of us, we couldn’t, t help thinking how wonderful it is! I wondered how the people in the past built it without modem machines. It is said you can see it from the space. I was proud of it.
After coming home I made up my mind to study harder than before. When I grow up, I will work hard to make our country more beautiful and stronger.
Wonderful Traveling
I went to for a wonderful visit with my parents during the National Holiday this year. We left Lanzhou Railway Station on 1st October. The train was quite new and wonderful. We kept watching the beautiful scenery out of the window. It made us surprised and excited. Father told me that the railway between Ge'ermu and was built in 2006. Before that time, people used to take a coach to . The trip always took a long time and made people feel sick ...
The train got Lhasa Railway Station the next afternoon. During the next 3-day journey, we visited many wonderful places such as , Yangba Well and so on. All of us fell in love with such a fantastic place.
My Home town
My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.
But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.
In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

On May Day my classmates and I went to the Great Wall. We got on the bus in the early morning. On our way to the Great Wall, we saw lots of new buildings being built here and there. is changing a lot every day.

Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man and he had not visited us since he went to . On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother. She smiled to us and said "April fools"!
National Day （国庆节）
It is known to everyone: Oct, 1st is our National Day. At this day I went to street and saw something. Now I will tell you!
At 8:00 I got up and went bus station with my mother .O my god there were so many people! With difficult we got up the bus and felt much crowed. The traffic was so bad too! I cost nearly 1 hour that we arrived the center of street. What were worse there were even more people! In my opinion it was not very interesting to come out at this day! Nest time I prefer to stay at home and study!
My Christmas Day
Christmas Day is the most important festival of west. Be in that day at Christmas, people don’t work. Children don’t go to school. The whole people have all had a holiday. People indulges in a holiday together laughing and chatting.
On that day at Christmas, we need to have the Christmas tree, illumination, the star adorns our family. We invite our family and friend to our house. They are able to give me a gift, I also need to give gift for them.
We sing special songs at Christmas. Christmas songs are carols.
My Winter Holiday我的寒假
last winter holiday, I went to with my family. is a very beautiful city, I think. The sky is blue and the air is clean. You can see many kinds of nice flowers everywhere. The weather there is great. It′s never too hot or too cold all the year round, so people always call it "".
